  • Resident Teacher Certificate – Issued at two-year intervals to school-selected individuals participating in alternative teacher preparation programs.
  • Conditional Certificate – Issued for two years at a school superintendent’s request to a teacher who does not currently meet the Maryland teaching certification requirements.
